Getting closer!

It was a beautiful weekend!  Most of our shopping is done.  Dan found some gifts for the officials yesterday...buckeyes from Malleys.  (Lisa McCann can appreciate!)  I hope they don't melt between here and Taiyuan, Shanxi. It is supposed to be 77 degrees in Beijing on Sunday and low to mid 80s in Taiyuan the following week & sunny!  Dan has already packed his clothes 2 or 3 times and still has room in his suitcase.  He thinks he might be missing something...maybe Kelley's clothes or toys?  She is 3'6" & 37 pounds...is that a size 4?  Kimmy started a pile of toys for Kelley.  She gets all of the baby dolls & Kimmy will keep all of the breyer horses.  Kimmy also gave her the Kai-Lin doll from Tiffany/Yahan.

China

Today is ask a stupid question day, so I will do my best.  Does anybody know if there are outlets on United Airline planes to plug in our electronic devices for 18 hours?  Do hotels in China have converters to our electric or do I need to buy one?  If so, where?  Do hotels in China carry blow dryers?

I'm still working off my to do list from 3 days ago.  The good news is that Holly passed the kennel test yesterday.  She didn't bite anybody so they will take her & Dixie for 2 weeks.  The cat went back to get his ear drained and will go again on Saturday...hopefully, for the last time.  After that, all of the animals should be taken care of!  On to cleaning & packing this weekend!

Things to do

Special soup is the only thing that happened yesterday according to plan.  Kimmy still needs to separate her toys & I still need to call the kennel, buy luggage & find some unique  gifts.  I took the cat to the vet and he needs medicine twice a day for the next 14 days.  I'm leaving in 10!  He has a hematoma and they drained a bunch of blood.  Oh...and it will probably refill and he will need to go back.  So today's plan is a repeat of yesterday.

Only 11 more days!

It is getting closer and we have both started the list making.  My to do list for today includes calling the vet & kennel, buying more luggage and finding appropriate gifts for the Chinese officials.  Dan is starting to stress...and by stress I mean cook.  He has dinner planned for the rest of the week.  Last night was tacos and today is special soup & mashed potatoes.  Kimmy's job for today is to separate her toys into 3 piles - Kimmy's only, Kelley's only and a share pile.  Any one care to bet on which pile will be biggest?
